Apple Cake - Silke Style

Ingredients

• 6oz S.R flour
• 1oz plain flour
• 6oz butter/marg
• 6oz light brown caster sugar
• 3 eggs
• cinnamon + demerara
• 2 apples (or 3)

Method

1. Heat oven 1[?]0°C.
2. Prepare a cake tin with loose bottom.
3. Cream together fat + sugar. Add egg slowly.
4. Add flours.
5. Pour ½ mixture into prepared tin.
6. Layer 2 layers of apples, sprinkle with cinnamon + demerara.
7. Put remaining mixture on top.
8. Put another layer of apples + sprinkle with sugar.
9. Bake! (As Noel Fielding would say)

Notes

Middle digit of the oven temperature is unclear (likely 150°C or 180°C). No baking time is given on the card.
